About Us

Inward House Projects was founded in 1978 in Lancaster to provide residential rehabilitation for people recovering from drug and alcohol problems. Inward House Projects became one of the major voluntary sector drug services and now specialises in Recovery Housing.

Recovery Housing is specialist on-going support that assists recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. In its simplest form, Recovery Housing is a supportive, drug free home. It provides a time, space and a learning experience for individuals, although already in recovery, wanting to ensure they have the life skills and social network to sustain it.

Services are provided in partnership with a range of voluntary and statutory agencies, the criminal justice system, health services, Tier 4 providers and housing associations. Inward House Projects works with commissioners and partners to successfully deliver the National Drug Strategy 2010 and the Every Child Matters Outcomes as required by the Supporting People Framework.

Inward House Projects is a charity and limited by guarantee.
