Community Support Service ...
The Community Support Service provides support to individuals who are stable in their treatment, and are motivated to make positive changes in their lives. The aim is to link them into services within their own community in areas of support such as employment, education, training, health, hobbies, family support, debt problems. Community Support offers both 1-1 support and group activities, and is able to operate within service users’ own ‘environment’, be it out in the community or in their home. The team also encompasses a dedicated Family Worker, specifically working with families where specialist support is required with family issues.Referral Criteria
Referrals from Community Drug Team only, subject to their approval.
- Clients who are prescribed Methadone through the Community Drug Team and require additional support
- Clients who are looking to reduce on their Methadone programme and require additional social support
- Clients who are stable in their drug use and are motivated to make positive changes to their lives
