Prison In-reach Service ...
Prison In-reach is a community and prison based service designed to work alongside people with drug and/or alcohol issues who are leaving custody and returning to the community. The aim of Prison In-reach Workers is to help people deal with social issues that may affect their life in the community such as employment, education, housing, health, finances, community treatment etc. We work with other agencies that each person may or may not be in contact with, for example, Jobcentre+, colleges, CJDT etc.Referral Criteria
Via the Drug Intervention Records (D.I.R.) received from custody into the Criminal Justice Team. Direct referrals:
- From the C.A.R.A.T. Teams
- From Prison Staff
- From the National Probation Service
- From N.A.C.R.O. service in prisons
- From other prison in-reach/prolific offender in-reach workers
- From other D.I.P. areas
- Tower
