Supported Housing ...
Supported housing is offered in the Lancaster & Morecambe district and in Accrington. The two projects operate slightly differently; however, the same ethos underpins the two.St James House in Accrington is a 13 bed supported housing project for individuals requiring support with their drug/alcohol related issues in order to remain abstinent. The aim of the project is to work through a structured process of resettlement into the community. All tenancies are issued for a 6 month period, during which time tenancy management, life skills issues and other support needs are developed through regular key work and extra support mechanisms. It is anticipated that residents will progress to aftercare services after this time.
